About Thebarton Aquatic Centre

The South Australian and Australian governments completed a $8.7 million refurbishment in 2024 to deliver an improved Thebarton Aquatic Centre for the community to enjoy. Refurbishments include:

• upgraded pools – patching and retiling works and repainting of the pools
• a re-constructed pool concourse including a new wet deck, improve drainage and slip resistance tiles / tactiles
• new change rooms with more toilets and showers – more than 50% more facilities
• a new open space at the south of the pool hall
• more modern pool equipment that is easier to service and maintain
• a new Lifesaver office and first aid room with direct view and access to the pool deck
• larger pool equipment storage area
• building upgrades including new walls, painting and roofing
• two new multipurpose areas
