Adelaide Aquatic Centre Relocation

The Thebarton Aquatic Centre is excited to welcome Adelaide Aquatic Centre (AAC) students to our Swimming Lessons program.

AAC Relocation Enrolments

  1. Use the Adelaide Aquatic level mapping document to find your level.
  2. Use the Live Class Timetable and filter by the level you are after. You may wish to first learn about the YMCA Swimming Lesson Program.
  3. Click 'Enrol' on a suitable class on the timetable then register a new account (parent account first). An initial prorata payment and ongoing payment source is required.
  4. Once enrolled complete the below Learn To Swim Voucher form.

$150 Learn to Swim Voucher

Students transferring from AAC are eligible for the government's $150 Learn To Swim Voucher (LTSV). Once your child is enrolled, fill out the form below.

Provided by Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing. Must be 8 numerical digits.

Who is eligible?

  • In order to be eligible, the individuals/families must have:
    • been enrolled in learn to swim lessons at the AAC until closure (attending a final lesson anytime between June to July 2024), and
    • completed the online Expression of Interest (EOI) form requesting relocation assistance.

How many LTSV can be claimed for?

  • Each eligible individual may claim one (1) LTSV.

What is the value of the LTSV?

  • $150.

What can I use the LTSV for?

  • The LTSV can only be used to contribute towards the cost of learn to swim lessons.

Where do I find my Applicant ID?

  • The Applicant ID was provided to individuals/families in their original allocation email and subsequent email regarding the LTSV process.
  • The Applicant ID number only contains numerical values and is eight (8) digits in length, e.g. 12345678

When will applicants receive their credit?

  • Once a valid claim has been submitted, verified and authorised by ORSR, you may process the $150 credit – please note this process may take 4 weeks.

How long do I have to claim an LTSV?

  • The LTSV is only claimable until 31 December 2024.

Is there a physical version of the LTSV?

  • No, in order make the process as simple as possible, eligible individuals/families simply need to provide their Applicant ID, First and Last name, and Date of Birth.


What level should I enrol into?

The Adelaide Aquatic Level Mapping document provides a guide as to which class to enrol into. This is particularly helpful when reviewing our live class timetable and checking for day/time suitability.

When completing an enrolment online, there will be a quick online questionnaire to assign a level to the student. There is the chance this varies slightly from the Adelaide Aquatic Level Mapping - don't stress, just enrol into the level specified by the questionnaire.

On-site supervisors will be available over the first couple of weeks to ensure students are in the correct level and will make adjustments as required.

Will the same time/day of the lesson be available that I was attending at Adelaide Aquatic Centre?

The Thebarton Aquatic swimming lesson program was designed to cater to students transferring from Adelaide Aquatic as much as possible; however the exact lesson times your child was attending at Adelaide Aquatic may not be available.
